Renuka Singh is a Canadian politician who was elected to represent the riding of Ajax in the House of Commons of Canada in the 2019 federal election. Born in Guyana, she immigrated to Canada with her family at age 10. After living in Toronto for a year, they settled in Pickering, Ontario. She attended the University of Toronto, where she earned a Bachelor of Science degree in psychology and biology. Singh later worked as a youth worker and community organizer before being elected to Ajax Town Council in 2010. In Parliament, Singh serves as the Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister of Families, Children, and Social Development and is a member of the House Health Committee.
